Intermittent Fasting - Easy Way To Lose Weight

What is Intermittent Fasting?

Intermittent fasting is very interesting, but before that let's know some interesting facts about it. In 2019, this word ranked high among the most searched words on the Internet. You can understand how much response was read! However, this was being talked about even before 2019. England's Journal of Medicine made a research paper based on only one diet style. Also in 2012 there was a program on BBC called 'Eat Fast, Live Longer'. You can understand that there is no dearth of devotees of this object in the intellectual circles.

How does this fasting actually work?

Intermittent fasting is intermittent fasting. It is a diet where it is not what you eat, how much you eat, but when you eat and when you don't eat that is most important. The two most popular intermittent modes are 16:8 and 5:2.

16:8 means that you eat at any time of the day, as per your convenience, for 8 hours and you cannot consume any calories for the remaining 16 hours. Much like our Muslim fasting. But don't worry, no one will tell you not to eat at all, but if you want, you can eat something with very low calories such as fruit flavored water, cucumber or any low calorie fruit in very small quantities. 5:2 means living a normal life 5 days a week and fasting for 2 days. But you must take care that your caloric intake does not hinder your weight loss in any way!

Will it really work to lose weight?

Now that we've figured out what Intermittent Fasting is all about, let's break the whole thing down a bit. Not knowing exactly how you can lose weight in this process.

The food we eat, be it carbohydrates or proteins or fats, is broken down by the body in two ways. One part contains glucose, this glucose goes into all the cells of our body and provides energy there through oxidation. Needless to say, we work with that energy. Now suppose, you have eaten too much food or you have not worked out as much as your daily energy burn should. So what happens? Very naturally the energy will accumulate in the body. Here comes our second part, the excess energy or glucose in our body is stored by fat under the muscles in different parts of the body. And we get fat like this!

Now think, when we are fasting in the month of Ramadan or we do not eat for a long period of the day, where does our energy to work come from? And not only the energy to work, but our heart, lungs, brain these internal organs also need energy to continue their work, right? Where do they come from? The stored fat in our body is then broken down into glucose as needed and provides energy. This is how intermittent fasting gives us energy and makes the body a little lighter by breaking down the accumulated body fat.

What are the benefits of this fasting?

A little bit is known about intermittent fasting, now let's know whether it only reduces weight or gives some other benefits. Benefits of this fasting-
