The Book I Have Recently Read

I Like to read various types of books when I have no work in my hand. It gives me pleasure and entertainment . Recently I have read "Chander Pahar 'by Bibhutibhushan Bandopadhyay. It is a Bengali adventure novel par excellence. The book deals with the adventures of a young Bengali man in the forests of Africa Shankar Roy Chowdhury leaves his family and goes to Africa in search of  gold and diamond mines. He accompanies Alvarez, the brave explorer. They encounter several dangers and face survival tests. The descriptions of the raging volcano, the man-eating monster Bunyip or the black mamba sent shivers down my spine.  .I was deeply impressed by Shankar’s attempt to fulfill his dream.Shankar’s story is a salute to those who dare to dream.It asks us to deserve what we desire.I feel happy that Shankar got what he desperately desired to get. It inspires me much to work hard to achieve what I want to achieve.
