Sir, 

     I'd like to express my concern against the practice of ragging in the educational institutions, especially in professional colleges. Ragging should be regarded as a curse because schools, colleges and universities are the centres of learning not the places of foolish prank. Sometimes reports of abominable tortures on the Junior students by the senior students, especially in the hostels of medical and engineeering colleges are highlighted in the news papers. Ragging sometimes goes to such an extent that after a series of tortures, the weak and unfortunate Junior student. Has any student right to kill another ? 

                   So, I would like to draw the attention of the Government to formulate rigid rules so that this savage practice must be stopped.
